Requirements for Commercial Pilot License Course

Eligibility

Applicants must be at least 16 years old at the time of joining. This is the minimum age required to begin Commercial Pilot License (CPL) training.

Medical Fitness

A valid Class II Medical Certificate issued by a DGCA-approved doctor is mandatory. This ensures you are medically fit to undergo pilot training.

Education Level

You must have passed 10+2 or an equivalent exam with Physics and Math as compulsory subjects to be eligible for the CPL program.

English Proficiency

You must demonstrate ICAO Level 4 English or higher, ensuring you can effectively understand and communicate in aviation English.

Ground Classes Overview

Ground classes are the cornerstone of your pilot training, offering deep dives into critical aviation theories and practices. At Dunes Aviation Academy, we take immense pride in our pedagogical approach, ensuring each trainee develops a robust understanding of aviation fundamentals. Our training methodology, aligned with the DGCA syllabus, emphasizes safety and professionalism, preparing you to handle the responsibilities that come with the pilot’s seat. Conducted at our state-of-the-art facility in Ahmedabad, our ground classes promise an unmatched educational experience, focusing on:

Duration: 3-6 Months

The following subjects are covered:

1. Air Navigation
2. Aviation Meteorology
3. Air Regulation
4. Technical Specific Papers (pertaining to aircraft systems)
5. Radio Telephony (including practical examinations for FRTOL – Flight Radio Telephony Operators Licence)

Flying Training

The flying training phase is conducted at our air bases in Bhavnagar and Bhilwara, using a modern fleet that includes the Cessna 172, Piper Archer DX, and Diamond DA42 aircraft. Cadets also undergo training on our DGCA-approved flight simulators as an integral part of the program.
185 hours of practical flying on single-engine aircraft
15 hours of training on the Diamond DA42 multi-engine aircraft
20 hours of simulator training on certified devices
